in which the dreaded blanket grows

After writing a few days ago about my operation get to zero plan (OGTZ), I immediately pulled out the first item on the list and got to work. There was quite a bit of work left to do, about 600-700 yards left, but I managed to really knock it out.

I surprised myself somewhat with how fast it came together, because I've dreaded this blanket in a lot of ways since I started it. To be honest, I've never really been in love with it. The colors aren't for me, the design is interesting but weird, and the whole thing felt like so much work with so little progress.

But it's sure grown on me. (Literally and figuratively.)

I sailed through the third season of Parenthood, hardly needing to look down at the mindless garter stitch.

I've got one-third of the border left and a ton of ends to weave in - and it's done! Sadly that'll have to wait, because I just got the second TTL Mystery Sock Clue and I don't think my sanity can withstand anymore applied i-cord tonight.

It feels good to have OGTZ well on it's way to success though. ;)

  1. Way to go! It is such a good feeling when you get though a big project, isn't it. I had a blanket that took me 3 years to finish, I was so relieved when it was finally done. That blanket has such a nice retro feel to it.
